Influence of the general statutory minimum wage on membership in a trade union

Objective: The aim of the research project is to examine whether the introduction of the general statutory minimum wage has an impact on the probability of continuing membership in a union on the one hand and on the probability of joining a union on the other. If this is the case, the strength of this influence and the consequences for the trade unions should be further determined.
Zielsetzung: In dem Forschungsvorhaben soll untersuchen werden, ob sich die Einführung des allgemeinen gesetzlichen Mindestlohns auf die Wahrscheinlichkeit der Weitermitgliedschaft in einer Gewerkschaft einerseits und auf die Wahrscheinlichkeit eines Gewerkschaftsbeitritts andererseits ausgewirkt hat. Ist dies der Fall, sollen die Stärke dieses Einflusses und die Folgen für die Gewerkschaften näher bestimmt werden.
